castrate you, then I'm going to scalp you. I'm going to cut out your eyes one by one, and then I'm going to cut out your little heart."  Tim was no longer in control of himself. Something had taken over. He felt more powerful than anyone at this moment. Seeing the fear in Ricky's eyes only encouraged him. He wanted to hear the boy plead. With that, he cut the gag  from Ricky's mouth.

"Please don't  hurt me," Ricky squeaked, tears rolling down his face.  "I'll do anything. Just please let me go!!"  He pleaded for an hour, and finally Tim untied him.

Tim was laughing.  "I can't believe you bought it. Was I that good?"  Ricky was not amused.  "Come on, Ricky, can't you take a joke? Can't you tell when a guy's just pretending? I didn't mean to totally freak you out like that. Relax, dude!"

Without a word, Ricky ran home crying. Tim was satisfied. He had had his fun.  "You'll be back," he said under his breath, watching Ricky run into his house.

Tim spent the rest of the day daydreaming about what he had put Ricky through, trying to maintain that feeling of absolute power he had felt that morning. He began to plan his next activity with the boy. Today would be hard to top.
CONTINUED NEXT ISSUE!!! DON'T MISS IT!!!

HERE ARE SOME THINGS TO LOOK FOR IN FUTURE ISSUES:

Keep an eye out for some really cool scripture studies. I have a few people, including myself, who are wanting to really reveal some good news for believers and nonbelievers alike.

I'm working on inserting pictures in the 'zine when I do interviews. I just need to experiment with the best way to go about it.

If interest and subscriptions increase and we start getting more material in to review, the page numbers will start climbing. So turn all your friends on to Life In Death and get `em to subscribe. Also, if you know an artist, have `em send their demos, chapbooks, videos, etc. to us for review.

NEWS!!! If we can get information fast enough, we will have room for current news on the scene other than the scene here in KC.

Letters 2 Eddy Tour. That's Letters to the Editor for those who didn't catch it. Send feedback and maybe we'll print it.

Of course, we expect to grow in quality and shrink in our cost to print Life in Death. Pray for us. I'd like to be able to purchase a laser printer or at least an ink jet printer. But that's quite far away. That will, however, enable us to mass-produce more cheaply and easily, so issues will be bigger and more can be given away to nonbelievers.

Well, here we go signing off for this issue. I hope you enjoyed it and will turn on all your friends and enemies to it so that they will send in that measly $6 for those 6 issues. God bless.

HEY CHRISTIANS!!!

I know that one of the biggest questions you will ask us is why we would cover non-Christian artists in this magazine. I'm prepared to answer that. My reason is not specifically to spread the Gospel to these artists, but to recognize the gifts and talents that God has given them, giving Him the glory. After all, a gift that God gives someone is given for their own use. If they know Jesus Christ, that faith will naturally manifest itself. God did not give us gifts so that we would use them for His pleasure. Do you give someone a gift and expect them to use it for your benefit? Obviously not! So why do you think God, who is perfect, is that selfish. There is absolutely no scriptural basis for the assumption that if we are not using our gifts to proselytize we are wrong. The only difference between the nonbeliever and us is that the nonbeliever is spiritually dead and if only that person will believe, they will receive that life.
