Yes, all the rumors are true. I and most of the Life in Death staff were spotted at Cornerstone '95. Yes, I am sporting a new hairdo--actually, it's more of a hairdon't because there's no hair involved. Yeah, call me a skinhead, call me baldy, call me ugly or whatever you want. It's all true. Yes, it's true that Life In Death has now survived a whole year in publication--more than the average independent 'zine sees. Yes, all those rumors are true. Well, this is the first issue of Life in Death to be dedicated to the whole Cornerstone experience. Right before Cornerstone this year I had 300 copies of the July/August issue printed up to take to Cornerstone. I also took all the copies of all my back issues with me. Well, The July/August issue went like hotcakes. I would put a stack of them on the table in the exhibition hall and later they would all be gone. So by the middle of the day on the last day they were all gone--including all the back issues. I should have had 500 printed. They would have kept disappearing. I was stoked that all those people were picking up my little 'zine. So now people all over the country are reading Life In Death. Just thought you'd like to know.

Subscriptions to Life In Death are still $6 for a whole year of 6 issues. My printing costs have gone up just a little bit, but not enough to consider raising my price.

Classifieds are $5 for the first 50 words, 25 cents each additional word. I would like to trade advertising with other magazines. For any other advertising, contact me.

LOOKING FOR THE CONTINUATION OF THE STORY "DARK SECRET"? TURN TO PAGE 9. IT WON'T BE WHAT YOU EXPECT!

Wow!!! What an incredible two months it's been. I bought a color flatbed scanner to do pictures with, and it's been a real pain to get up and running, but finally I managed to get a good cover picture for this issue. Anyway, there are many people this time that I can thank.
Thanks to all the really cool people I met at C-stone this year, particularly Jamie Bourland who was willing to put up with me bugging him from time to time. Thanks to Donovan White for the cash to help support the 'zine; David, Twila, Karen, Chris, and Jacob Ruggles--I'm so glad to have gotten to see y'all again. I still say I'm gonna have to borrow Chris for a day sometime; Gary Sanford--thanks for bugging the heck out of me while Allen was gone; Everyone at Tie The Gap '95 who stopped by to chat at the Crusade/SALT 'zine booth (where my zine was also available.); Everyone who contributed to my little videotaping; All my Solid Rock Cafe kids--I've missed you and I can't wait to start up again this month;  Sometime Sunday for recognizing me even without all the hair; Brian Viets for hanging out at C-stone--maybe we can jam again sometime; Doug Van Pelt--thanks for introducing me to some people; Tyler Gilpin--miss ya, guy!!; Michael Andersen--same to you; Spencer Childress and Kris Swank--same to you guys. I haven't had a chance to take any walks for awhile; Allen Holloway--good to have you back, little buddy; Beth Gruver--yes, we're still friends; Brian Litchford and Mike Champ--good luck with the band; Matt Miller--losing those horrible dreds was the best thing you could have done; Steve Schneider and everone at Yahweh Cappuccino; Eric Roach--long time no speak, dude; Jason Web (or is it Webb?)--hope you're still enjoying the 'zine; Dominic Conway--long time, no see, dude; Tony and Mary--the studies are cool; Sheryl Ford for the cool times at the Hut--good luck with your new crew; Kevin Eshleman--one of the few people more bizarre than me;
and most importantly to the One who placed the stars in the heavens and breathed life into the lungs of each and every one of us, yet still turns His attention to us who rejected Him.
