The artwork looks really nice, the lyrics are very thoughtful and well-written, and the musicianship is good. That's about the only things I like about it.
Anyway, here goes. Big Meteor consists of David Wimble on vocals and guitar, and Larry Wayne Church on lead guitar and backup vocals. They're both good musicians with talent. The album is diverse musically, with rock, acoustic rock, country, blues, and a celtic ballad.
As I mentioned earlier, the lyrics are really good. I can't honestly say that the songwriting is. I think they could have worked harder on putting together quality musical compositions.
That's about all I can say about this demo. If you happen to live in the Ottawa area, Big Meteor regularly appears Wednesday and Thursday nights at the Hard Times Cafe, 129 Queen street.(at least that's the info that was given to me. Check it out with the band.)
Compact Discs are available for $15 and cassettes are $12. If you want more info on ordering, here is the contact information.
