For starters, I think almost everything about Life In Death is now new.

  1. 1.  New Computer-- I now have my own computer, whereas before I was having to go across town to my parent's house to use their computer.  It was a Pentium 75 mhz running Windows 95 with 16 megs of RAM and 256k cache.  Ouch.  I'm now working on a Pentium II 350mhz machine running Windows 98 with 32 megs of Ram and 512k cache.  It's a sweet machine, upgradeable to 550 mhz.  The DVD drive is nice too.  Anyway, with the new computer I can work on Life in Death when I have time and not have to drive all the way to my folks house where half the time my Dad wants to come in and talk my ear off so I can't get much work done.   My Dad's great, but that's not a great environment to do a zine in.
  2. 2.  New Logo--If the new logo isn't in place by the time you see this, it will be soon.  The guy that's doing it is great.  I'm sure he doesn't consider his graphic art anything spectacular, but he's only 20 years old.  In a few years he'll probably be phenomenal.
  3. 3.  New Format--No longer will I subject myself to the almighty deadline.  Life In Death will go live as a continually changing site.  I will not start over every 2 months with all new content, as if I was putting out a hard copy zine.  Once I get the original site in place with all the content, I will continually add stuff as I write it.  This will keep Life In Death much fresher and give y'all more incentive to visit more often.  So we all win.  When a new article appears, it will be announced on the index page so nobody will have to go searching to see if there is new stuff.  It will also be mentioned in this section by date in case you haven't visited in a while and want to know how many new articles have been added since you visited.
  4. 4.  New Vision--When I started Life In Death, my primary vision was to be an outreach to teenagers and young adults, both believers and nonbelievers.  My vision has become more general.  I have no less passion for spreading the gospel, nor for edifying the church.  I probably now have more.  But I've grown to the point that I deal with people on every level, whereas my primary area before was teenagers.

I hope you enjoy.  Please feel free to contact me and tell me what you think.  As always, submissions are welcome and may or may not be used.
